LOCATION: JOSHUA TREE, CA

Located next to Joshua Tree National Park, the space features expansive desert views and is a serene getaway perfect for a grounding and reviving stay. Rae focused on creating a cozy but airy interior for this stay by creating many places to relax and take in the landscape. One signature element of the space is the primary bedroom’s wall-sized ‘picture window’, where Rae designed a specific seating area meant for taking in the landscape with coffee or a book. Rae also made it a point to fill the walls with art from small businesses and local artisans that work with desert landscapes and natural materials.
